This fantastic , and yes I don't say that lightly as I am uber fussy, hotel is rated 5 star. And 5 stars it deserves!
An all inclusive hotel, it is located on the South Coast of Tenerife.
Being a family of 6, we have never went all inclusive before believe it or not, the reason being, any travel agent I went to couldn't guarantee us interconnecting rooms, only 'they will ask but it isn't guaranteed'.
However we were going as a Family of 17 on Boxing Day 2019 and booked flights and hotel separate.
We stayed in two interconnecting rooms and they were superb, so modern.
There was a free mini bar that was replenished daily and it contained water much to my husbands midnight drink habit lol. Tea and coffee facilities were also in the room if like me, you can't start the day without a cuppa.
Without a doubt, the wristband instead of a key card was the best invention , no yapping who had the key last, everything was operated by your band, so handy when you are carrying floats, creams and goggles that your kids just abandon and assume Mummy will carry.
What about the pools I hear you ask....
No kidding, we book a holiday on the appearance of a pool I kid you not.
I then YouTube it too see the real views and bish,bash, book I do...
So apparently there are 7 pools, no joke we didn't get round them all, as we were a party of 8 kids so we didn't venture near the adults only section or the infinity pool although the footie pitch for the boys is located here.
The lower lever is more aimed at kids under 14 Id say and that is where the fast food restaurant is located appropriately enough. My kids lived in there, to be honest my children are real fussy foodies. The boys will try anything, the girls are what I call #beigeeaters. If they see a speckle of green they nearly recoil.
So in the mornings we spent in time in the lower pool as this was where the splash and slides were located. Then in the afternoons we spent upstairs as the Castle that you can see in the pictures is where we got cocktails and afternoon refreshments. #bestmojitos
Now the main pools in the middle deck, one is heated and the bigger one isn't, the only thing is, the bigger pool was mainly empty because it was so cold.
Such a waste.
We departed Northern Ireland on the 27th December and the weather was lovely, when we arrived, not too hot for the little ones as all our kids varied in ages from 3 to 14 at that time. There was always a breeze which was nice however at night, make sure to bring jeans, trousers and a cardigan. Night time was cool if you were to sit-in out however the entertainment at the hotel was fabulous and the bars.
There is a section in the hotel dedicated to kids, like an arcade and also a Games Room where the younger boys of our group spent most of their time.
At night the entertainment is fabulous, we were there for #newyearseve and they put on such a fabulous spectacle with complimentary Champagne .
As I mentioned, my kids are real foodies and two of them are so fussy, Nutella and chicken .... #beige
But there was such an array of choice of foods you honestly could not complain, from the home made pancakes in the morning to fresh pasta with any sauce of your choice.
And the desserts were to die for! Amazing.
Now if you did fancy buffet style there are a number of Restaurants within the resort, Italian, Asian/Chinese and the steak House. We tried everyone snd the kids had the most fun in the Pizza House, I think it was called Il Paradiso. They got to make their own pizzas.
The only fault I cold tell you was that the tiles were super slippy when wet, countless people fell, I do hope they have rectified this, especially kids, you tell them not to run but they do. Unless you can use those wee water booties however it wouldn't put me off and that is honestly the only fault . The rooms were immaculate, clean and the staff were faultless.
This was luxury family vacationing at its best for sure!
The only other thing is that the nearest town is apparently a 10 minute walk away, however as we were all inclusive and the food was so so good we didn't want to leave however we did go to the nearest shopping centre for an afternoon but the kids just wanted to get back to the pool.
Would I recommend it to you?
For sure!
